If you look for Panamanian folklore, an important attraction is Mi Pueblito, located on the slopes of Ancon Hill. This venue is a replica of a typical village in the interior of Panama, including a central square with a church, a small market, a barber shop, and a restaurant where you can enjoy the traditional Panamanian cuisine.

The Promenade of Las Bovedas extends above the fort built by the Spanish to protect the city. Below is the Plaza de Francia, which commemorates the efforts of 22,000 Frenchmen died during the construction of the Canal.
On one side of the square are Las Bovedas, used first by the Spanish and then by the Colombians to lock up their prisoners.

In the late XVI century religious from the Convent of Santa Clara in Lima (Peru) came to Panama with the intention of providing shelter and protection to ladys and widows. This was the objective of the Convent of the Nuns of the Conception founded in 1597 in the old city of Panama.
Currently the convent the nave of the old church and a cistern remains.

The Cathedral Tower in Old Panama City is the remaining part of the old Panama City and former capital of the country. Together with the historical district of Panamá, it forms a World Heritage Site. It was the scenery of war of pirate’s with the Spanish conquers that lived in this rich historical city.

Located on the east side of the Miraflores Locks, the CVM allows visitors to observe the transit of boats a few feet away and learn about the various operations of the Panama Canal, the history of its construction, its participation in trade world and the importance of its watershed. During the evenings you can enjoy the incessant passage of vessels while performing its conclusion.
